Taurus Rapid Order Fulfillment Program to Be Discontinued at Year End

November 1, 2005

DEARBORN, MI – In November 2001, Ford launched the Taurus Rapid Order Fulfillment Program to provide an ongoing inventory of Taurus units at the Atlanta Assembly Plant to supplement the dealer supply of vehicles for emergency or special needs situations. With the addition of the Five Hundred and Fusion to Ford’s lineup, the demand for the Taurus Rapid Order Fulfillment program has declined. In addition, Ford’s ability to prioritize and build Taurus units to meet fleet customers’ needs has improved. As a result, the Taurus Rapid Order Fulfillment Program will be discontinued when the existing stock of units is gone, most likely at year end.
