OVLA Set to Hold 49th Annual Fall Conference

DUBLIN, OHIO – The Ohio Vehicle Leasing Association (OVLA) will hold its 49th annual Fall Conference Nov. 10 at the Holiday Inn-West in Columbus, Ohio. Following a general business session directed by President William Brough, the conference will feature six workshop sessions. A highlight of the day-long event will be presentation of the National Vehicle Leasing Association’s Outstanding Chapter award to the OVLA. Workshop session topics and presenters include:

  • Ohio Sales Tax Changes Affecting Vehicle Lessors & the Streamline Tax Initia-tive; Tim Sachs, Sales and Use Tax Division, Ohio Tax Department.
  • Commercial Activities Tax or CAT - A Sweeping Change in Ohio Tax Law; Dale Bishoff, Commercial Activities and Excise Tax Division, Ohio Tax Department.
  • The National Vehicle Leasing Association and the OLVA; NVLA President Dale Davis, Republic Fleet Services.
  • Dealing with Bankrupt Individual and Business Lessees Under the New Federal Bankruptcy Law; Amy Bostic, Luper Neidenthal & Logan.
  • It’s Coming: Electronic Titling & Lien Cancellation; Bob Posey, Title Division, BMW.
  • Are You Complying with the Law?; Jeffrey Coleman, Dealer Licensing Section, BMW.

    The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast. Adjournment is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. Registration details are available at (800) 369-5633.
