Mitsubishi Fuso Donates Three Trucks to the American Red Cross

November 15, 2005

DOTHAN, AL — Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA), its Japanese parent company, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Company (MFTBC), and local dealer Coffman International donated three Mitsubishi Fuso trucks to the Wiregrass Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. The Wiregrass Area Chapter of the American Red Cross has been helping victims in the Katrina disaster zone since the hurricane first hit areas along the Gulf Coast. The three class 3 FE model trucks — each with a body payload allowance of approximately 6,000 lbs. — will be titled and maintained by the Wiregrass Area Chapter. Whenever a disaster threatens the region, two of the trucks will be assigned immediately to the disaster zone, while the third re-mains with the Wiregrass Area Chapter to ferry relief supplies and materials to its shelters.
