Leggett & Platt to Acquire America's Body Company

NEW YORK – Leggett & Platt announced Oct. 31 that it has acquired van and truck equipment supply company America's Body Company to expand its presence in the light and medium-duty commercial truck equipment market, according to Reuters.America's Body Company, which had been a Leggett customer, has about $150 million in annual revenue, 580 employees and 10 operating facilities, Leggett said.Combining the acquisition and its current operations, Leggett will form a new business group, which should generate revenue of about $250 million, the company said.
