TREVOSE, PA — The CEI Fleet Risk Customer Advisory Council convened in North Carolina Oct. 19-21 at The Westin Hotel and The Speedway Club of Lowe’s Motor Speedway, which overlooks the 1.5-mile Superspeedway. During the meeting, the Advisory Council provided input regarding expansion into new markets, as well as advice on CEI’s core accident management business. The highlight of the three-day session was an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of Dale Earnhardt Inc. (DEI), one of the premier race shops in NASCAR. The visit was hosted by Jimmy Kitchens, Busch Series racecar driver and spotter for Dale Earnhardt Jr. In addition to visiting the DEI Museum, which is open the public, Council members and CEI staff toured private garages to see how racecars are built to promote speed and safety for two of NASCAR’s elite teams; the #8 Budweiser Team and the #15 NAPA Auto Parts Team. The next Council meeting will be held in spring 2006.
