NAFA New Jersey Chapter Offers Tour of Foreign Automotive Preparation Service Facility

PORT NEWARK, NJ — The National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) New Jersey Chapter is offering fleet managers an opportunity to tour the Foreign Automotive Preparation Service, Inc. (FAPS) facility in Port Newark, Tues., Sept. 13. The tour will show fleet managers how vehicles are processed when entering the United States. FAPS, Inc. provides services for new, finished import and export vehicles that include: pre-delivery inspections, accessorization, body-repair, paint refinishing, export homologation, modification, global certification, and fleet reconditioning. In 2004, FAPS, Inc. processed more than 400,000 vehicles. Its clients include: Ford, General Motors, Kia, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Daimler/Chrysler, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Subaru, Maserati, Ferrari, and Lamborghini.

The agenda for the tour includes:

10-10:30 a.m. Registration
10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tour and History of facility
1-2 p.m. Lunch
