LeasePlan USA Reports 80% Increase in Number of Online Buyers Through Manheim Simulcast Sales

ALPHARETTA, GA — LeasePlan utilizes online auction services — such as Manheim Simulcast and ADESA LiveBlock — to maximize the number bids and resale price for each vehicle sold. These online auction services allow potential buyers to view, bid, and purchase vehicles online as the vehicles go through a traditional live auction lane. For the second quarter of 2005, LeasePlan realized an 80 percent increase in the number of online buyers through Manheim Simulcast sales when compared to results from the first quarter of 2005. The total number of LeasePlan vehicles sold online increased 115 percent during that same period.
