August 23, 2005

ST. LOUIS, MO — Enterprise Rent-A-Car was honored by the Department of Defense for its support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. Awarded the 2005 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, Enterprise was one of only 15 employers selected in July 2005 from nearly 1,500 nominations from National Guardsmen and Reservists for this prestigious award. The award publicly recognizes employers, who are nominated by their employees who are voluntarily serving in the National Guard and Reserve, for exceptional support above the requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994.Enterprise pays the salary differential for employees on active duty in the National Guard or Reserve, so Enterprise employees can continue to receive full pay, as well as benefits throughout the duration of their service. Enterprise currently has about 500 employees currently serving in the National Guard and Reserve. Other 2005 recipients include Alticor, Inc., Citizens Financial Group, Eaton Corporation, IDACORP, Los Angeles Police Department, Louisiana Department of Safety & Corrections, Pio-neer Financial Services, Ryland Homes, Sears, Roebuck and Co., South Dakota State University, the State of Delaware, Toyota Motor Sales USA, USAA, and Wachovia Corp.
