LYNCHBURG, VA — John McCorkhill, Jr., fleet director for the city of Lynchburg, recently received a third fleet management certification. He currently holds a certified fleet manager (CFM) certification from the Wharton School of Business, a certified automotive fleet manager (CAFM) certification from the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA), and, now, a certified equipment manager (CEM). The CEM program is sponsored by the Association of Equipment Management Professionals, formed in 1980 to advance heavy-duty and specialized equipment management as a career.
