Giombetti Named President of Lincoln Mercury

DEARBORN, MI — Ford Motor Co. announced that Al Giombetti, 48, takes over for Darryl Hazel as president of Lincoln Mercury, according to Automotive News. A 24-year Ford veteran, Giombetti most recently was general sales manager for Lincoln Mercury. Prior to this, Giombetti was executive director of Ford North American Fleet, Lease & Remarketing Operations (NAFLRO). Lincoln Mercury President Darryl Hazel, 56, succeeds Steve Lyons as president of Ford Division. Hazel, a 33-year Ford Motor veteran, had been head of Lincoln Mercury since 2002. Ford Division President Steve Lyons 56, has taken Earl Hesterberg's place as Ford's Group VP of North America Marketing, Sales and Service. Lyons, a 33-year Ford veteran, had led Ford Division for the past three years. Hazel and Giombetti will report to Lyons.
