Cytowicz of Unilever Honored with 2005 Larry Goill Award

April 13, 2005

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS – On behalf of Unilever, Oleg Cytowicz, automotive fleet coordinator for the Saddle Brook, NJ-based company, accepted the Larry Goill Award April 12 at the National Association of Fleet Administrators Fleet Managament Institute and Law Enforcement Group (NAFA FMI-LEG) in Dallas. The award recognizes fleet managers whose creative ideas improved productivity and quality or produced substantial bottom-line savings for their employers. These awards are named in honor of the late Larry Goill, who served as NAFA vice president for Canada and was supervising engineer - fleet services for Bell Canada.Unilever developed its U Auto Know virtual fleet manager, an electronic fleet driver’s owner’s manual stored on a driver’s laptop computer. The program was developed to reduce, and in some cases eliminate, a variety of phone-in questions related to operations and procedures for company fleet vehicles. The program allows fleet personnel to be more productive and has resulted in a no-cost solution for better customer service to Unilever fleet drivers, and saved time and money in printing and distributing a policy and procedures manual.
