April 19, 2005

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The American Automotive Leasing Association (AALA) announced that it will stage its 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting celebration Sept. 19-20, at the historic Hotel Monaco in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1955, AALA is a national industry association composed of commercial automotive fleet leasing and management companies. The group’s membership includes domestic and international companies as well as family-owned businesses. AALA also has an associate member category that is open to any company or organization with an institutional interest in the automotive leasing industry. According to the organization’s Web site, AALA’s primary goal is to represent fleet leasing industry interests before Congress, the executive branch, and regulatory agencies. Increasingly, AALA is taking a more active advocacy role at state and local governments. For more information on the AALA 50th Anniversary meeting, contact the organization at (703) 548-0777, or
