Wanted: Fleets with Experience with Retread and Tire Service Providers

February 22, 2005

PACIFIC GROVE, CA — The Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB) is helping the Tire Industry Association (TIA) set up a seminar entitled "Fleet Experiences with Outside Tire Service and Retreads." The seminar is part of the educational program of the TIA World Tire Expo, a global conference for the commercial truck/bus tire, retreading and repairing, and tire and rubber recycling industries. The Expo takes place April 20-22, 2005, at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Ky. The seminar is intended to offer Expo attendees an insider's perspective on what bus and truck fleets look for in a tire service or retread provider. It will feature fleets representing both the private and public sectors. The fleet representatives will discuss why and how they outsource their tire needs. TRIB is seeking fleets to participate in the hour-long seminar, scheduled for 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday April 20. If you manage a fleet that has built a successful tire and retread program and wish to participate, or if you know of any such fleets, please contact TRIB's Associate Director David Kolman: phone (410) 374-6565 or e-mail [email protected] Additional information about the Expo can be found on the TIA web site: The Tire Retread Information Bureau is a non-profit, member-supported industry association dedicated to the recycling of tires through retreading and repairing.
