In Memoriam: Gerald D. Scholl

SEELEY LAKE and STEVENSVILLE, MT - Gerald "Jerry" Donaldson Scholl of Seeley Lake and Stevensville (near Missoula) in Montana, died Feb. 6, 2005, at age 67, of cancer. Scholl was born and raised in Franklin, Ohio, the sixth child of Jacob D. and Lelia "Ruth" (Hale) Scholl. He was a graduate of Miami University of Ohio and a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and the Freemasons.Scholl retired as dealer rental manager of Chrysler Fleet Operations in South Springfield, Mich., in 1992. Scholl began his career in the late 1950s in the Edsel division of the Ford Motor Co., and concluded his tenure with the company in the mid-1980s in the Lincoln-Mercury division.Scholl is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elke M. Pont Scholl; daughter, Marcia L. Scholl of Seattle; sister, Etta L. (Scholl) White of Largo, Fla.; and brothers, Lee W. Scholl of Nebraska and Lawrence E. Scholl.
