Fleet Response Receives SAS 70 Certification

February 22, 2005

CLEVELAND, OH — Fleet Response, a provider of custom designed fleet management and safety services announced on February 17 the completion of its SAS 70 Certification. A SAS 70 audit represents that Fleet Response has been through an in-depth review of control activities involving customer service processes and other key areas of its business operations. An independent accounting and auditing firm has documented that Fleet Response has developed internal controls that operate according to SAS 70 requirements. Fleet Response received a formal report of the auditor's opinion to provide clients with a way to meet external auditor requirements and to address documentation needs. Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard used to measure the reliability of a service organization's internal control activities. SAS 70 is the guidance that allows service organizations to disclose their control activities and processes to their customers and their customers' auditors in a uniform reporting format. An SAS 70 examination signifies that a service organization has had its control objectives and control activities examined by an independent accounting and auditing firm. Established in 1986, Fleet Response provides maintenance and accident management services through a nationwide network of vendors, and offers subrogation, salvage disposal, customized online services, and replacement rentals.
