Clark to Retire as Director of Transportation Services on March 1

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — John J. Clark is retiring as director of Transportation Services for Loudoun County, Va. effective March 1, 2005. Before being named the county's first Director of Transportation Services in October 2001, Clark was with the Department of Public Works and Transportation in Montgomery County, Md., from 1975-2001, serving as Acting Deputy Director for Transportation Policy. He has a master's degree in urban planning from Hunter College and a master's degree in transportation engineering from Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1962-1965.
