GM Sold 500 Hybrids in 2004; Targeting 2,500 Sales in 2005

DETROIT — GM sold 500 retail hybrids in the western states and Florida in 2004, said Peter Savagian, GM’s engineering director for hybrid powertrains. Savigan said GM wants to sell 2,500 across the United States in 2005.
