Donlen Fleet Resale Celebrates One Year Anniversary on eBay Motors, VB2

January 25, 2005

NORTHBROOK, IL – Donlen Corporation celebrated its one year anniversary reselling vehicles on eBay Motors and online at Copart Auto Auctions, incorporating VB2 Technology. Donlen became the first fleet management company to do so.

Layne Weber, vice president of Vehicle Remarketing, said, "Using online auctions to sell fleet vehicles opens up tremendous opportunities, and is an area poised for substantial growth."

About half of the offered vehicles were bought directly through eBay Motors and averaged 120 percent above AMR. The results of the online auctions were comparable with the best auction channels, according to Donlen. Through an OnLane Internet sale, units were sold that had not been purchased through eBay.

Using VB2 technology, in partnership with Copart, Donlen also became the first fleet management company to list damaged and salvage vehicles online.
