Michelin to Raise Tire Prices by 5 Percent

CLAREMONT FERRAND, FRANCE — Michelin & Cie., Europe´s largest tire maker, said it will raise prices by 5 percent by the middle of next year to compensate for increasing raw material costs, according to the Detroit News on December 16. The percentage increase is calculated as an average for all the company´s products, including tires for cars, tractors, airplanes and other vehicles.
