Manheim Holds Taxi and Livery Vehicle Sale

December 6, 2004

ATLANTA — Manheim recently hosted a unique sale for Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers only at Lauderdale-Miami Auto Auction (LMAA) featuring close to 700 Ford vehicles, including more than 300 vehicles of particular interest to the taxi and livery industries. Unlike other Manheim sales, the November event was the first to include inventory of interest to a specific industry. A mix of more than 676 Ford vehicles ran through the lanes including more than 300 Town Cars, Crown Victorias, and Grand Marquis. Open to Ford dealers only, the sale proved to be a success, selling 98.4 percent of the featured vehicles. More than 140 Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers attended the event, and 41 dealerships participated via Simulcast.
