MINNEAPOLIS — XATA Corp., a supplier of onboard fleet management systems for private fleet transportation, announced on November 23 that Core-Mark International, a distributor of consumer packaged goods and store supplies to the convenience and retail industry, is installing XATANET in its fleet of 325 vehicles operating at 17 sites in the United States and Canada. XATANET is a Web-based fleet management and communications solution delivered through an ASP model that allows fleets to use fleet management technology, while avoiding installing, maintaining, and upgrading software. XATANET provides the applications, hosting, and services via a centralized infrastructure — delivering fleet management functionality and scalability at a monthly cost based on usage. Core-Mark is a distributor of consumer packaged goods and store supplies to the convenience retail industry, servicing a variety of store formats including traditional convenience retailers, mass merchandisers, drug, liquor and specialty stores, and other stores that carry consumer packaged goods. After using the system for several months, the company elected to roll out XATANET´s Multi-Mode communications platform across its entire fleet.
