Wheels Partners With Onlane to Optimize Dealer Resale

October 12, 2004

Wheels, Inc., announced on October 12 that it has partnered with Onlane Inc., a supplier of customized Internet remarketing solutions, to deploy an enhanced online remarketing system. This new system will facilitate more efficient resale of fleet-lease vehicles through Wheels’ wholesale dealers. Integrating with Wheels’ internal remarketing operation and fleet management solution, Onlane’s Internet-based “Direct to Dealer” channel enables Wheels to accelerate cycle time and reduce costs. A combination of event-driven email notifications, real-time vehicle status tracking and online communication tools streamline communications between Wheels and dealers. Onlane’s solution provides Wheels dealers with tools that optimize the selling process including comprehensive EDI (electronic data interchange) functionality for pick-up notifications, electronic condition reports, floor prices and purchase offers. Wheels dealer representatives interact with Wheels through Onlane’s web tools to provide real-time status on every vehicle in the remarketing cycle. The program also delivers the added benefit of providing Wheels with a comprehensive online condition report.
