National Auto Research, publisher of the Black Book family of vehicle appraisal guides, and Credit Union National Association (CUNA) announce an expansion of the relationship they began in January 2000. CUNA members are now able to purchase all Black Book vehicle valuation products at reduced prices. CUNA members can also post Black Book’s Internet products on their own Web sites, along with details on beginning the loan process and applications, to encourage members to begin the loan process through their credit union. Black Book publishes comprehensive vehicle valuation products. The product line includes electronic and printed guide books for used cars and light trucks produced between 1946 and 2004, collectible and exotic vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, and heavy duty commercial trucks and trailers. Additional products include residual value guides in both dollar and percent of equipped MSRP formats, as well as the New Car Cost Guide (formerly published by “AIS”). “One feature of the Internet products is that there are no advertisements or links to other lenders, so it keeps credit union members where they will get the best deals - their credit union Web site,” said Jim Hanson, vice president of CUNA’s Center for Personal Finance.
