ARI Promotes Welsh to VP of Sales, Northern Zone

ARI has promoted Gene Welsh to vice president of sales, Northern zone. Welsh is responsible for the sales and customer support efforts of five ARI offices in Boston, Mount Laurel, N.J., Chicago, Cincinnati, and Minneapolis. His staff includes 10 sales people, 10 customer services representatives, and five office personnel. Welsh joined ARI in 1987 in the fleet management services area. After spending time in ARI’s billing and truck acquisition departments, he moved to Chicago sales in 1994. He served as district sales manager for three years before being named regional sales manager, directing the Chicago sales team. In 2001, Welsh moved back to ARI’s corporate office in Mt. Laurel N.J. as manager of ARI’s vehicle acquisition department. He then moved to manager of client services in 2002 where he managed the day-to-day client service representatives. Welsh became VP of sales north in April. He spent five years in the United States Marine Corps before coming to ARI.
