University of Illinois Acquires 8 GEM Vehicles for Fleet

Global Electric Motorcars (GEM) emission-free vehicles, according to an article in the Champaign News-Gazette newspaper on March 10.

GEMs can cruise at 25 mph, which is the speed limit on campus. Inspectors and construction workers will be among those using the new vehicles.
