Rod Robinson has been installed as president of the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA), an association supporting the commercial truck and transportation equipment industry, during the association’s 40th annual convention. The convention was held in conjunction with the Work Truck Show, March 3–5, 2004, in Baltimore, Md.

Robinson is president of WALTCO Truck Equipment Co., a manufacturer of hydraulic liftgates and custom hydraulic cylinders for the transportation industry.

Robinson joined WALTCO Truck Equipment Co. as an entry-level salesman in October 1972. He was charged with fulfilling the objective of increasing sales to justify local manufacturing. Subsequently, he was promoted to the position of eastern sales manager. Eventually, WALTCO’s board of directors elected him president in 1987.
