Nye County, NV Considers Purchasing Used Fleet Vehicles from Salt Lake County

March 9, 2004

Nye County Commissioners were advised that the county would save $104,244 by purchasing used Ford Expeditions, Ford Explorers, and Crown Victoria sedans from Salt Lake County instead of buying new vehicles through the State Purchasing Department, which would cost $513,044. The Salt Lake County vehicles are one to two years old, with an average of 10,000 miles, according to an article in Pahrump Valley Times newspaper in Nevada.
