CEI through its DriverCare safety offers invited fleet drivers to attend Safety Wins training at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth Texas April 2. This full day begins with a defensive driver training workshop conducted by certified National Safety Council trainers and includes a pit tour and tickets to Nextel Cup Qualifying. The Safety Wins program was launched on February 10 at the Daytona International Speedway during the “500” race week. Upcoming sessions will be held at other NASCAR venues, including Talladega Superspeedway, Dover International Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, and Michigan International Speedway. The goal of Safety Wins is to provide free classroom training to 1,000 professional drivers in 2004 to positively influence a reduction in the leading cause of work-related death in the United States: motor vehicle crashes. The program takes a positive reinforcement approach to awareness and education by holding safety training at NASCAR’s most exciting venues.
