Wheels, Inc. Announces Two Years with I-CAR Gold Class

February 9, 2004

Wheels, Inc. announced that it has been awarded I-CAR Gold Class Professionals status for two consecutive years. I-CAR is an international, not-for-profit training organization for collision industry professionals. The Gold Class program was created in 1990 to recognize businesses that are committed to quality and excellence for the ultimate benefit of the consumer. According to I-CAR, Gold Class businesses “are dedicated to providing their customers with efficient, safe and high-quality repairs. They are confident they can properly repair their customers’ collision-damaged vehicles and understand the need to continually update their training and knowledge of the collision repair process.”Although Wheels Repair Specialists do not work directly on clients’ vehicles, they work with individuals in repair shops who do. “By completing I-CAR training, our Repair Specialists are better equipped to work and negotiate with repair shops leading to potentially better situations for our clients,” said Vince Sommer, Director of the Collision Management program at Wheels. “Every Wheels Repair Specialist has met Gold Class point requirements in order for Wheels to achieve this honor. 60% of our specialists have achieved the distinction of I-CAR’s Platinum Individual designation,” Sommer continued. The Platinum designation recognizes a high level of collision repair training by individual industry professionals.
