LA City Council Endorses Ban Against Driving With Hand-Held Cell Phone

January 12, 2004

Council members will also explore a law prohibiting city workers from using city-issued cell phones while driving. During discussion, Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski said the city should consider its own law. "I think this is important enough that we should look at making this a law in the city and not wait for the state," she said.
