Chevin Makes Waves In North America; Signs 3 New Fleets

September 22, 2003

Chevin Fleet Solutions’ RoadBASE fleet management software has gained three new fleet customers. RoadBASE is a Windows-based fleet management solution that has been available in the European market for the last 15 years. When Chevin set up its subsidiary company, Chevin Fleet Solutions, in Massachusetts in late 2002, RoadBASE was updated for the North American market. Three new fleet clients: Altec Equipment Solutions, Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority, and the University of British Columbia, will all use this software to manage their fleet of vehicles. Altec Equipment Solutions provides vehicle contract maintenance services for electric utilities, telecommunications and tree care organizations throughout the United States and is based in Birmingham, AL. Greater Bridgeport Transit is the fixed bus route and demand response (Dial-A-Ride) transit provider for the Greater Bridgeport region in Connecticut. The University of British Columbia, based in Vancouver is the third largest university in Canada. To support and extend the capabilities of its Facilities Management Group, UBC is implementing RoadBASE to manage its fleet of almost 600 registered and non-registered assets.
