July 14, 2003

Josie Sharp, CAFM, manager, fleet & safety for Aventis Corp., announced that she has accepted a position with the State of Pennsylvania as Director, Bureau of Vehicle Management. “It will be a new challenge for me, and I am very excited about the opportunity,” Sharp said.Sharp noted that during her eight years of managing the Aventis fleet, she worked to make Aventis a well-known name in the fleet industry, and she was offered many opportunities to grow, develop her skills, and “work with many terrific people.” When she makes the move to Harrisburg, PA, she will be managing a government fleet roughly three times the size of the Aventis fleet. “My plan is to manage this fleet with the same dedication as I have for Aventis for the past eight years,” Sharp concluded. In May 2003, Sharp won Automotive Fleet’s 2003 Fleet Manager of the Year award.
