Ford to Offer SIRIUS Radio in 10 Models

SIRIUS Satellite Radio will be available as a dealer-installed option in 10 2004 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models beginning in September 2003.The models include:
  • Ford: Thunderbird, Mustang, Explorer, Sport Trac, and Expedition.
  • Lincoln: Navigator, Aviator, LS, and Town Car (available December 2003).
  • Mercury: Mountaineer.SIRIUS offers 60 music streams with no commercials, along with 40 sports, news, and entertainment streams.Ford said it plans to expand the SIRIUS option in the future to include Mazda, Land Rover, Volvo, Jaguar, and Aston Martin.SIRIUS more than doubled its subscribers in the first quarter of 2003 to 68,000 users, a 127 percent jump from its end-of-2002 figures.
