Manheim Launches Dealer-to-Dealer Sales Program

April 10, 2003

Manheim Auctions recently unveiled Manheim InterChange for Dealers, an online wholesale transaction service for dealer-to-dealer vehicle sales. Each year, the company says, U.S. auto dealers wholesale more than 15 million used vehicles - either directly, through wholesalers, or at auctions.Manheim says two important benefits of the new service are better security for both buyer and seller, and increased volume by expanding the size of trading networks between dealers.Manheim InterChange for Dealers is the nation’s first central database of information about cars available for sale in the wholesale market beyond the auctions’ gates, according to Joe Luppino, vice president and chief operating officer of Manheim Interactive.
