Lockheed Martin and PS Energy Group have begun the next phase in a three-year agreement, during which PS Energy will provide fuel management services to Lockheed Martin locations across the country. Build-out for the initial phase of the program is now complete at Lockheed Martin’s Marietta facility. PSEG is responsible for purchase, dispatch, and delivery of bulk fuel for Lockheed Martin, as well as gradual installation of a full-service fuel management program at specific Lockheed Martin Corporation sites. Lockheed Martin has received fuel management equipment that uses proximity readers to provide fueling authorization with the swipe of a valid employee badge. Data is collected through cellular communication between PS Energy Group and the onsite fuel management equipment. Using the fuel system reporting, Lockheed Martin can collect detailed reports that show fuel utilization and preventive maintenance for 548 company vehicles. Implementation will be on a site-by-site basis approved by site management.
