Larry Brasher has retired as president of West Coast Auto Auctions, the parent company of Brasher’s Sacramento, Cascade, and Northwest Auto Auctions and part-owner of Brasher’s Reno Auto Auction. His son, John, will replace him as president. His son-in-law, Mark Bassett, will serve as vice president and chief financial officer. John Brasher and Mark Bassett are joined by other third-generation members of the Brasher family at the Sacramento Auto Auction. Larry’s son Tom is the operations manager at the auction, his son Matthew is a sales representative, and his daughter Amy works at the Tuesday sale as an auctioneer. Larry Brasher grew up in the auction business, learning the ropes from his father, Frank, who founded the Salt Lake Auto Auction in 1949. Brasher and his wife, Anne, will spend two years in Kiev, Ukraine as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
