GM Announces Increased Range in its Fuel Cells

General Motors Corp. said last week that it has vehicle tested a new hydrogen storage system that extends the range of its fuel cell-powered vehicle by 60% to 70%.The new 10,000 pounds per square inch tanks the automaker tested on its HydroGen3 vehicle is the first to be tested on a vehicle, the company said.Fuel cells are seen as a possible solution to the trucking industry’s problems with new, stricter emissions.
