Lincoln to Sell Armored Town Car

Lincoln announced it is entering the armored vehicle market with an armored version of the Town Car. The Lincoln Town Car Ballistic Protection Series is slated for production in mid-2003. The vehicle is designed to provide protection from powerful handgun and high-power rifle rounds.The automaker says its target market includes corporate executives, government agencies, leasing agencies, political dignitaries, and private citizens.
