Tennessee Valley Authority Recognizes GM Contributions

December 9, 2002

At its fleet management success celebration on Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) recognized Ron Dixon, of General Motors’ Fleet & Commercial Operations, for outstanding supplier contributions in supporting fleet management’s winning performance goals. Presenting the award were Paul LaPoint, senior vice president of TVA procurement; Bill Bonham; senior manager of TVA procurement, corporate contracts and transportation management; and Bill Lehman, manager of TVA fleet management.

Each year, TVA and the departments within the company establish goals and processes that are tracked and updated throughout the year. With the help of Dixon, fleet management was able to meet its performance goal of cutting costs.
