Sable Wins North American President's Quality Award

December 9, 2002

The Mercury Sable is a winner of the 2002 North American President's Quality Award. The Sable was given this award for having the lowest TGW for any vehicle.

Also, Consumers Report issued its list of "Recommended Buys,” which included the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable. These vehicles were two of eight Ford Motor Co. products to make the list.

Ford announced plans to launch a national media campaign (TV, magazine, Internet) to promote the Taurus. The theme of the ads is to take another look at Taurus. This will be the first time in three years there has been a national ad for the Taurus.
