Chrysler Group unveiled three new custom vehicles, the first of many to be developed by the company's Vehicle Excitement Team (VXT), at SEMA. The vehicles were the Dodge Stratus Turbo, the Chrysler PT Super Cruiser, and the Chrysler PT Big Sky. Chrysler Group's VXT was formed to coordinate the relationship between internal interests, SEMA member companies, and suppliers to produce special edition vehicles for shows. The VXT's work is part of the greater emphasis that the Chrysler Group is placing on performance parts, accessories and customization. Earlier this year Chrysler Group announced it will make vehicle technical specifications more widely available to SEMA members to encourage more aftermarket customization.
