National Diesel Price Shoots Up 1.8 Cents, Now Tops $1.40

The national average price for a gallon of diesel fuel rose 1.8 cents to $1.414, its highest level in nearly a year. OPEC is set to meet the week of Sept. 16 in Japan to discuss an increase in oil production quotas.
