DaimlerChrysler Services Concentrates Its North American Business Activities in New Headquarters

DaimlerChrysler Services, the captive finance arm of Daimler-Chrysler, made a significant investment to its North American operations with a new headquarters facility in Farmington Hills, MI. At a ceremony held on Sept. 19, 2002, the building was dedicated to the company’s 5,400 employees in the United States, Canada and Mexico. DaimlerChrysler Services is the Services Company of DaimlerChrysler AG and is headquartered in Berlin. Currently, it controls a contract volume of $112 billion, which is managed by more than 10,000 employees, half of whom work in the United States. DaimlerChrysler Services has more than 100 regional subsidiaries operating in 38 countries, servicing more than six million contracts, with two million new contracts annually.
