Toyota topped the list of six vehicle segments in the latest J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study. The study surveys owners for problems they encountered in the first 90 days of ownership of 2002-model-year vehicles. Toyota led in the following vehicle segments: compact car (Toyota Corolla and Prius tied), compact pickup (Toyota Tacoma), full-size pickup (Toyota Tundra), entry SUV (Toyota RAV4), midsize SUV (Toyota Highlander), and compact van (Toyota Sienna).
