General Motors announced pricing for the all-new 2003 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana will start at $22,550 for the base two-wheel-drive 1/2-ton cargo model. The destination charge is $715. The 2003 3/4-ton cargo models, equipped with the standard Vortec 4300 V6 engine, are priced the same as the current 2002 model. The all-new Express and Savana are equipped with 16-inch wheels, independent front suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes standard through the entire model line-up. The vans feature Vortec Gen III family of engines, including the Vortec 6000 V8 that produces up to 300-hp and 360 lb-ft of torque. The 2003 Express and Savana also feature all-wheel drive, left-hand 60/40 swing-out doors, and side access panels on cargo models, providing accessibility to the interior of the van.
