Presidential Alt-Fuel Pickup On Display

May 8, 2002

At the Eighth National Clean Cities Conference & Expo to be held in Oklahoma City on May 13th through May 15th 2002, the propane-fueled Ford F-250 pickup used by President George W. Bush on his Crawford, TX ranch will be on display. Ranch foreman Kenneth Engelbrecht will be on hand to meet visitors to the Propane Education & Research Council stand and talk to the press and public about “Propane One,” the propane motor fuel project on the President’s ranch. A propane fueling infrastructure donated by several industry contributors was installed on the ranch. The fuel dispenser and the truck were dedicated at a ceremony in Crawford on November 9, 2001.
