U.S. light-vehicle sales for May are predicted to hit 17 million seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR), down from April 17.3 million, but topping 16.4 million from a year ago, says WardsAuto.com. Also, WardsAuto forecasts that the second quarter will be at 17 million SAAR, topping the 16.7 million recorded during April-June 2001.
