Chattanooga Auto Auction posted more than $1 million in Internet sales for Honda Financial Services in the first quarter of 2002, topping previous sales records, reports Robert Sullivan, the auction’s general managing partner. According to Sullivan, the auction hosted six sales for Honda Financial Services during the months of January, February and March, expanding its buyer base to include out-of-area dealers who participated in the auction via the Internet using the OnLine RingMan system. Surveying the auction’s Internet sale results, Sullivan noted that on-line sale activity for Honda so far this year has doubled the numbers posted during the last quarter of 2001, which brought $500,000 in online sales.
