GM Participates in National AFV Day Odyssey

April 16, 2002

General Motors participated in a press event that kicked off the National AFV Day Odyssey on April 11, 2002, held in Washington, DC. GM was presented with a plaque for helping to sponsor the event and supporting the objective of the day. The event was held at 51 sites in 31 states. “National AFV Day Odyssey was designed to show Americans that AFVs are a viable option for consumer and fleet transportation,” said Al Ebron, executive director of the National Alternative Fuel Training Consortium. “This is especially important today because AFVs use domestic fuels that will allow our country to be less dependent on foreign oil, thus supporting our national energy security.” For information about GM’s initiatives regarding alternative-fuel vehicles, visit the GM Ability site at http://www.gmability.com.
