ADESA Corp. has promoted Don Elliott to the position of vice president, marketing and business development. In this role, Elliott will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans that support strategic initiatives and promote the continued growth of the ALLETE Automotive Services companies. A 1973 economics undergraduate from Denison University, Elliott has more than 24 years experience in the automotive industry. Before joining ADESA Corp. in 1999, Elliott spent 10 years with Mazda Motor of America as manager of fleet operations, overseeing the company’s auction operations, Mazda’s certified used car program, and new fleet sales. Elliott joined ADESA Corp.’s wholly owned subsidiary, PAR North America in Indianapolis as vice president and chief operating officer in 1999 before becoming vice president of sales for ADESA Corp. in 2000. Elliott will report to Frank Stephens, executive vice president of marketing and strategic planning for ADESA Corp. and will manage ADESA Corp.’s marketing department.
